Now that the holidays are officially over, I want to extend a huge thank you to each and every one of my clients, friends, and family. You helped make my 2016 year one of huge growth for my company and for me personally. I got to work on countless (really it seemed countless) design projects, hired my patient and amazing new assistant, Lauren, and continued to see my handwork pay off.
I am constantly humbled by all of you. You keep me inspired, working hard and grateful for this crazy life. I could not do what I do if it weren’t for the role that each of my clients, friends, and family play in my life. I say it all of the time — but I am one lucky woman to be surrounded by such support and love. It’s been a year of success and learning, which made taking time to celebrate over the holidays extra special.
I was so happy to take a little time off from working to spend time visiting, eating, drinking, and being merry with friends and family. After my wonderful Christmas party (if you missed my post on my party, read it here) I got the chance to attend holiday parties, events, and dinners myself. From my family’s Christmas lunch at the Sutter Club, to my best friend’s holiday party and even a Christmas themed gender reveal party for a dear friend (yes, I am at the age where gender reveals, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and 1st birthday parties are a constant) this year seemed extra jammed pack with holiday cheer.
I got to spend quality girl time with friends baking Christmas cookies, went to the Christmas service at Bayside in Granite Bay, attended a Christmas Creole soup party, and was invited to my very first Chosen Family Christmas feast prepared by my cherished friends. In true Katrina fashion, there was an abundance of champagne, heels, mascara and love around me this holiday season.
I spent a very cozy Christmas morning exchanging gifts with my family at my parents’ house, which was fun and nostalgic. After the fun, but hectic rush of Christmas activities, I got to skip out of town and headed to Southern California to visit friends in Hollywood and Venice for New Years. It was a perfect way to ring in 2017 with fresh perspectives and a little beach air. The cherry on top of this great holiday was cheering on my USC Trojans as we watched them win the Rose Bowl at home with my family.
2017 is already off to a running start- we’re working to expand the team this year and are hard at work on some seriously gorgeous designs. Keep an eye on the blog, and on Instagram – one of my resolutions is to keep you more in the loop on all the crazy cool projects we’ve got in the works. Happy New Year- I hope 2017 brings you happiness, success, great design and a whole lot of puppy kisses 😉
